Privacy First Labs ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our tools and services.

Core Promise: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All data processing happens entirely in your browser on your device.

What We Don't Collect

• No file uploads to our servers — your files never leave your device
• No personal information — we don't ask for names, emails, or account details
• No tracking cookies — we don't track your behavior across the web
• No analytics with personal data — we use Cloudflare Web Analytics (privacy-friendly, no cookies)
• No third-party data sharing — your data is yours alone

How Our Tools Work

All processing happens in your browser using Web APIs and Web Workers. When you use our tools:

• Your files are read locally using the File API
• Processing occurs in Web Workers (background threads) on your device
• Results are generated client-side and never sent anywhere
• Temporary data (object URLs, image previews) is cleaned up after use

Data Stored Locally

We may store minimal data in your browser's localStorage for convenience:

• pfl-theme — Your theme preference (light/dark mode)
• pfl-licence — Your subscription tier status (if applicable)

This data exists only on your device and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's storage.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand traffic patterns and improve our service. This analytics tool:

• Does not use cookies
• Does not collect personal information
• Does not track across websites
• Respects Do Not Track (DNT) headers
• Is GDPR-compliant

Cloudflare Web Analytics collects only: page URL, HTTP referrer, browser type, country (from IP geolocation), and timestamp.

Subscription and Payments

If you subscribe to a paid tier, payment processing is handled by our payment provider. We do not handle credit card information directly — that is processed securely by our payment processor following PCI DSS standards.

Your subscription status is stored as a license token in your browser's localStorage. We do not store payment details or personal information on our servers.

Third-Party Services

Our website uses the following third-party services:

• Cloudflare Pages — Hosting and CDN (CDN Privacy Policy: cloudflare.com/privacy)
• Cloudflare Web Analytics — Privacy-friendly analytics (Privacy details above)
• Payment Processor — For subscription billing (specific provider disclosed at checkout)
• OpenStreetMap — For map display (only when you explicitly consent by clicking "Show on Map")

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. However:

• You can clear your browser's localStorage at any time
• You can disable JavaScript to prevent any client-side processing
• You can opt out of Cloudflare Web Analytics by enabling DNT in your browser

Security

Since all processing happens on your device, security depends on:

• Your browser's security features (sandboxing, HTTPS enforcement)
• Your device's security (OS protections, antivirus)
• Our HTTPS connection (no data transmitted in plaintext)

We regularly update our code and dependencies to patch security vulnerabilities.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
